WANNA  BOOK  WORKSHOPS  WITH  MURAT and MICHELLE ?

This page will help you to decide and answer any questions you may have.  Y
ou will find here, a guide to help you, once you have decided you would like to arrange workshops for your community.  There are also many resources available to you to promote your event and take you to the next step.

Who are m & M?

Born in Istanbul, Murat has trained in dance, music and fine arts around the globe. Known for his strong lead and musicality, Murat's background as an artist and musician provides him with the perfect blend of senses for the movement of bodies through time and space. Michelle brings to the partnership a wealth of dance training and professional dance experience across many disciplines with a focus on technique for injury-free dancing.  Their enthusiasm for the dance is contagious and spreading as they travel to teach at major tango festivals throughout the U.S., which included a concurrent run at one of the most popular tango events in North America -- the Portand Tango Fest. As accomplished performers both individually and together, Murat and Michelle have shared the stage with the masters of tango and performed to live music of several important Tango orchestras, most recently with the internationally acclaimed Color Tango Orchestra of Buenos Aires.

Why have M & m teach in your community?

Murat and Michelle have well over ten years of experience in teaching and performing.  Their methods of instruction are
accessible and continue to be extremely  successful.  It is rare to see a couple teaching with such simplicity and clarity and also inspiring students with their unique style of improvisational dance.  What makes Murat and Michelle even more unusual is their emphasis on community building and tolerance among divisive groups.  You will not find instructors more approachable, giving and caring. M & m's teaching style is concept based.  They teach the logic, anatomy and geometry of the dance.  Students learn about connection, lead and follow, musicality and etiquette.  Most importantly they gain valuable skills in order to dance socially in the milonga and take a more active role in their own education. They have taught successfully in all the major festivals in the US and are excited to be bringing their most popular workshop topics to Europe, Australia and Japan.
